...:Angelika Miklin (Instructor and Cello Leader)

Angelika Miklin studied cello at the Bruckner Conservatory of Linz and at the Salzburg Mozarteum.  After completing her studies there her interest in historical performance practice led her first to the Hochschule für Musik und Theater of Munich, where she studied baroque cello with Kristin von der Goltz and, later, to the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and Jaap ter Linden.

She plays in ensembles such as the Göttinger Barockorchester, the Main-Barockorchester Frankfurt and the Ensemble 1800. As a chamber musician she is, e. g., member of the Cuvilliés Trios Munich, which specializes in the music of classicism and the romantic period on historical instruments, and is the laureate of several international competitions (International Young Artists Presentation 2009, Premio Bonporti 2011, Van Wassenaer Concours 2011). Angelika has appeared on international radio broadcasts and is regularly invited to international festivals and concert series.
