...:Joanna Kaniewska-Eröd (Instructor and 2nd Violin Leader)

Joanna Kaniewska-Eröd, born in Warsaw, completed her studies in violin performance and instrumental pedagogy with distinction in her home city.
She lives in Vienna since 2006; it is here that she completed a postgraduate course of chamber music at the University of Music and Performing arts and a dance course for contemporary dance. In 2016 completes her master’s degree in baroque violin at the City of Vienna Music and Arts University.
She has won numerous international competitions and received scholarships from a variety of institutions. Her repertoire includes solo and chamber compositions. Her activities as a performer have led her to almost all continents. Among the ensembles she has worked with are, e. g., Bach Consort Wien, EUBO, Capella Leopoldina, Barucco, Wiener KammerOrchester, Vienna Classical Players and the ORF RSO Vienna. In 2013 she founded the Ensemble Parnasse, a chamber music ensemble for Early Music. In 2014/15 she was concertmaster for the project Jugend macht Oper in Vienna’s Theater an der Wien. Since 2015 she is a member of the staff at the Anton Stadler Musikschule in Bruck an der Leitha, Lower Austria, and since 2016 she teaches at the Musikschule Wienerwald Mitte (temporary replacement).
